Join the Cecil County Independent Film Festival - Film Advisory Committee!
​
We are seeking volunteer Committee Members to help shape the scope and quality of our upcoming Film Festival. Committee members will play a key role in reviewing film submissions and providing thoughtful feedback.
​
Responsibilities:

Review film submissions (January 1 – March 1, 2025) on FilmFreeway
-
Grade films on the following criteria:
-
Originality/Creativity
-
Direction
-
Writing
-
Cinematography
-
Performances
-
Production Value
-
Pacing
-
Structure
-
Sound/Music
-
-
Provide additional comments and recommendations on whether films should be screened and considered for awards
-
Participate in two online meetings via Microsoft Teams:
-
Early March – Finalize the festival schedule
-
April – Decide festival award winners
-
Perks for Committee Members:

Two complimentary passes to the festival
-
Recognition in the festival brochure and on the festival website
-
Opportunity to support and shape a growing community arts event
Flexible: Film reviewing can be done online at your own pace - reviewers are asked to watch/critique at least 25 films (note: most films are less than five minutes in length)

Want to help out with the festival but don’t want to review films? We have opportunities for you, too!

Volunteer Roles:
📣 Support Marketing Efforts

Help promote the festival through social media and outreach

Local volunteers can distribute posters, brochures, and materials throughout the community
🎤 On-Site Festival Assistance (for local volunteers)

Help introduce films

Assist with Q&As and roundtable discussions during the festival weekend
